METRO
Greenbelt Stop, Green Line. Take cab or walk to Festival (about 1.5 miles).
From the Capital Beltway (495)
•Take Kenilworth Avenue (exit 23 - MD Route 201) north.
•Turn right on Crescent Road.
•Follow Crescent Road for 1 mile into Old Greenbelt until you reach Roosevelt Center (2nd stop sign).
•Turn right on Centerway into Roosevelt Center.
From Greenbelt Road (MD 193)
•Turn left on Southway into Historic Greenbelt.
•Go through one traffic light and 2 stop signs into Roosevelt Center.
Crazy Quilt is an ALL DAY festival, with no camping or overnight stay allowed. Hotels are available within moderate walking/biking distance.
OTHER ATTRACTIONS:
P&G Greenbelt Theater- Historic movie house right in the town square that always shows the best in new film.
The Co-Op Grocery- located in the square, this cooperatively run market stays open until 9:00 for meals, snacks, and drinks (including a well-stocked wine and beer section). NO ALCOHOL DRINKING ALLOWED OUTDOORS.
Buddy Attick Park- located just a short walk through historic Greenbelt, this park boasts a large lake, beautiful geese, and a breathtaking walking trail with glimpses into the seemingly magical backyards of local residents.
Co-Operative Housing- When the Roosevelts planned Greenbelt, they envisioned affordable housing for hard-working families. Greenbelt is still true to that original vision by continuing to sustain the co-operative housing philosophy with its very extensive co-op neighborhoods in the old town. Take a stroll to see these adorable, vintage houses surrounding the town square.
